Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve | Oakland, California 94611, United States

In their backyard at Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve, East Bay residents have a volcano. Originally named Round Top Park, Sibley shares the distinction with Temescal and Tilden of being one of the founding parks of the East Bay Regional Park District. Later, the preserve was named in honor of Robert Sibley, who helped found the District and served on its board of directors for 10 years.

Roberts Regional Recreation Area | 10570 Skyline Boulevard, Oakland, California 94611, United States

In 1952, Roberts Regional Recreation Area opened for public recreation and pleasure. The park has been named in memory of Thomas J. "Tommy" Roberts, who had served as secretary to the board of directors of the East Bay Regional Park District for 24 years at the time. Until his death in 1958 at age 95, he continued to serve on the board.

Children's Fairyland | 699 Bellevue Avenue, Oakland, California 94610, United States

Oakland Ice Center | 519 18th Street, Oakland, California 94612, United States

Sharks Ice Center The Oakland Ice Center is owned by Sharks Sports & Entertainment (SSE), the parent company of the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks. The building, completed in 1995, includes one (200-by-85 feet) NHL-sized ice surface and one (200-by-100 feet) Olympic-sized ice surface. Ice hockey, figure skating, broomball, curling, speed skating, ice dancing, as well as public skating are located in the building. To support patrons of all ages, they have an in-house pro shop, broad meeting and party spaces and a full-service snack bar.

Skyline Gate Staging Area | 8490 Skyline Boulevard, Oakland, California 94611, United States

A great hike for those of all ability levels is the Skyline Gate Staging Trail in Redwood Regional Park, easily accessible from anywhere in the Bay Area. Beautiful redwoods and eucalyptus trees lined the trail. There is plenty of shade, but just in case, bring enough water. On the trail, watch for roots and big rocks. In general, the trail is well-maintained, but in the winter it can get narrow. In Redwood Regional Park, dogs are permitted, but must be kept on a leash.

Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church is an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) congregation. It was established in 1993 — the result of the merger of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Orinda and Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moraga. Every Sunday, you will find people of all ages from households of many shapes and sizes at the Holy Shepherd. Many are from Orinda, Lafayette and Moraga's immediate Lamorinda neighborhoods, while others travel greater distances to be part of their adoring culture.

Orinda Intermediate School is a highly ranked public school located in Orinda, CA. With a student-teacher ratio of 20 to 1, it has 898 students in grades 6-8. 81 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 87 percent in reading, according to state test scores. Excellent school with good food and lots of green areas. Most teachers are very good at teaching as well.

Del Rey Elementary | 25 El Camino Moraga, Orinda, California 94563, United States

In Orinda, California, Del Rey Elementary School is located in a neighborhood just east of the Caldecott Tunnel. In Orinda, they are one of four elementary schools. This year we're serving 409 Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade students. Two creeks lining the campus, stunning mature oak trees, a natural habitat garden, and views of the hills are an incredible setting for their school site. Established in 1953, Del Rey’s campus contains 20 full-sized classrooms, retaining the original footprint plus a few portable ones. The school has a multipurpose space, a library, a science laboratory, and a computer lab.

Hidden Lakes Park | Morello Avenue & Chilpancingo Parkway, Martinez, California 94553, United States

To get to the lake: take the trail behind the soccer field. There are many paths, but the lake will be on your left after about ten minutes. Lots of green algae but gets nicer as you go along. When you can see the fountain you'll notice on the other side is more flatlands/bench/ people fishing possible. This is a nice place  for walking, hiking or just simply chill. You would find a nice spot right after the bridge where you could sit, read, and look for little fish on the lake. Hidden Lakes Park is must visit place in the neighborhood.

Heather Farm Park | 301 N San Carlos Drive, Walnut Creek, California 94598

Heather Farm Park offers fun for all ages. Go for a stroll around the pond, push the kids on the swings, go for a walk and spy on all sorts of birds, or have a picnic with family and friends. Heather Farm Park was formally opened by the City of Walnut Creek on July 4, 1970. The park has expanded since then and now includes a dog park, a playground for all abilities, ball fields, and much more.
